Norseal is delighted to have supported the latest National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) charity ball held to raise funds for Oasis Community Housing, a great cause that helps and supports homeless people in London and the North East, addressing both their immediate needs and the root causes of homelessness.
The NAWIC Annual Charity ball, held at the Crowne Plaza Newcastle, which Norseal attended and donated a raffle prize for raised £4,500 for Oasis and provided local women in the construction industry with great networking and support in a social setting.
NAWIC is an international not-for-profit association dedicated to the advancement of women in the construction industry site visits, networking events, socials, topical industry seminars, workshops for personal development, and business know-how in a formalised yet relaxed and friendly environment. The Charity Ball, held by the North East and Tees Valley chapter is one of the highlights of the NAWIC year.
Oasis Community Housing runs projects to help homeless people based on the principle of ‘Hope Not Homelessness’ to people sleeping rough, and empowering women who have been subject to domestic abuse, or domestic violence offering practical and legal advice, and support groups as well as real-time practical help and training and skills programmes to get them off the streets and keep them safe.
